Furniture & objects
I have restored furniture, worked in commercial finishing, and designed and made built-in and custom pieces. I have also contracted in commercial restoration and cabinetmaking shops.
I am a trade French polisher with a Certificate IV from Lidcombe TAFE, NSW completed in the mid 1990s. In 1997 I completed a Certificate IV 'Craft Design, development and production' at Hornsby TAFE. I later studied at the Canberra School of Art Woodworkshop in 1999 and 2000 under George Ingham and Rodney Hayward.
If you would like to discuss a custom work, please get in touch.
All pieces use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, salvaged, or recycled timbers.
I use non-toxic finishes. Most furniture is finished in shellac or plant based oil finishes for table tops and surfaces subject to wear and tear. I make and use my own beeswax polish or use microcrystalline waxes for conservation work as required.
Care instructions: Dust furniture with a damp cloth. Wax when needed, using a high quality microcrystalline furniture wax.
